The Godfather คว้าอันดับ 1 ภาพยนตร์ในการกำกับยอดเยี่ยม

The Godfather คว้าอันดับ 1 ภาพยนตร์ในการกำกับยอดเยี่ยมจากผลสำรวจ DGA พร้อมอันดับอื่น ๆ
เนื่องในโอกาสที่สมาคมผู้กำกับสหรัฐอเมริกา หรือ DGA ครบรอบ 80 ปี ทางสมาคมจึงได้ตัดสินใจจัดอันดับ 80 ภาพยนตร์ในการกำกับยอดเยี่ยมตลอดการในประวัติศาสตร์ภาพยนตร์ โดยการให้สมาชิกในสมาคมลงคะแนนเสียง ซึ่งผลประกฎว่า The Godfather ของ Francis Ford Coppola คว้าอันดับ 1 ไปครอง ตามมาด้วย Citizen Kane และ Lawrence of Arabia ของผู้กำกับ Orson Welles และ David Lean ตามลำดับ ซึ่งภาพยนตร์ส่วนใหญ่ล้วนมาจากยุค 90 กันทั้งสิ้น มีเพียง Avatar(อันดับที่ 55), The Hurt Locker (อันดับที่ 56), Birdman (อันดับ 58) และ There Will Be Blood (อันดับที่ 61) จำนวน 4 เรื่องเท่านั้นที่ติดอยู่ในรายชื่อ ส่วนรายชื่อที่เหลือมีดังต่อไปนี้
